Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest running comedy TV show, and has become like an important part of our lives. For the unversed, the show had started 16 years ago. This week after a long time we saw the show has grabbed the second spot on the TRP charts. It has put popular shows including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Udne Ki Aasha down. The show has got 2.3 million impressions this week. Reason? Tapu and Sonu’s marriage track.
Tanmay on TMKOC’s TRP ratings
Now, Tanmay Vekaria aka Bagha has reacted to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah reaching the second spot. He spoke to BollywoodLife and said, “The show coming up on the second number is really very nice and a great feeling. I would want to thank God first and thank you to all the lovely audience who have given us so much love for the last 16 years. Even after 16 years to come up on the second spot is really a big achievement for the show. I think it is a hard core effort of every team member, the writers, directors, actors. Everybody has given their 100%. All thanks to the producer, Asit Kumarr Modi who despite of being so many years is still passionate for the show, characters and the story. I think it is his effort to bring the show on the second level.”
Tapu-Sonu wedding track
The recent Tapu Sonu track grabbed attention. People had mixed opinion on this. Some wanted the wedding to happen while some wanted them to be friends only. However, everyone only had one question whether Tapu-Sonu will get married and will Jethalal-Bhide accept this? This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
Tanmay Vekaria aka Bagha has also shared his opinion on the love Tapu-Sonu track has got. He said, “This track was the talk of the town. The story really went very well. I think I don’t see them as a couple. The Tapu sena is the best and I don’t know I haven’t thought of them getting married. However, the track went well and everyone enjoyed it. The last 20 episodes were great, it was full of thrill and humour. It also had good messages and so it really went very well.”
