Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently witnessed a cast change. Actors Bhavika Sharma, Hitesh Bharadwaj and others marked their exit from the show. The show took a leap leading to a new beginning with a new cast. Now, stars like Param Singh, Vaibhavi Hankare, and Sanam Johar are leading the show. Param plays the role of Dr Neil and he has instantly become a fan favourite. On social media, Dr Neil now has a strong fan following. But did you know that the actor wasn’t quite sure whether he would be able to pull off the character?
In an interview with India Today, Param Singh spoke about the love he is receiving for playing Dr Neil and why he wasn’t sure if he could pull off this character. He explained that he has never played a character like this before. His roles have generally been with that of grey-shades with no control over anger. However, Dr Neil is opposite. He is calm and composed. Param Singh further explained that he thought that he may not be able to pull off the character but it felt like a good opportunity for him to comeback. He said, “But these questions about whether I could play the character actually pushed me as an actor. The story, the concept, the character that I play – everything was perfect, so I thought, ‘why not’?”
When asked about the pressure of TRPs given that Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been entertaining masses for years, he said that he does not feel the pressure and just wants to do his work with honesty. “Obviously, people will critique, they will compare because they have been religiously following the show. But, I did not think about this while signing the show,” he said. Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is currently struggling and is out of Top five on the TRP chart.
