3 Idiots 2 Confirmed: Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are getting ready to work together again on the follow-up to the beloved film 3 Idiots, according to reports. Indian moviegoers still have a particular place in their hearts for the original Rajkumar Hirani film, which was released over 15 years ago.

Is 3 Idiots 2 returning with same cast?

A Pinkvilla report suggests that the team is finally proceeding with a follow-up that will have the same main cast. A source told the portal, “The script has been locked, and the team is extremely excited for it. They feel the magic of the first film has returned, and it is as funny, as emotional, and as meaningful as the first part.”

What will be the plot of 3 Idiots 2?

The insider provided insight into where the plot is heading, saying, “The story will be a continuation, picking up nearly 15 years after the characters went their separate ways in the climax scene and reunite for a new adventure.”

Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan postponed…

According to reports, Hirani and Aamir Khan decided to postpone their planned biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke because they felt the script required more work. After putting that project on hold, the director thought it was time to revisit the 3 Idiots world, a notion he had been thinking about for years.

The report further stated, “He dedicated time to expand the 3 Idiots sequel into a full-fledged screenplay. Hirani always had a seed of an idea for 3 Idiots 2, but he wanted it to be perfect and something that would stand up to the legacy of the original.”
