Russell Simmons claimed in a blazing post on social media that his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, has had him “fighting” for his children’s love.
“I gave u 50,000 a month for 20 years. I was ur best /only friend,” Russell wrote on social media Sunday in response to a recent interview, in which Kimora said that she doesn’t “have a relationship really” with any of her kids’ fathers.
“I’m the godfather to your other 3 kids, until one day you stole my stock. I have been fighting for my kids love and my bread ever since,” he wrote over a photo of the 49-year-old Baby Phat designer.
“You threatened that if I sued you, I would never speak to my kids again. There are two sides to every story,” the 68-year-old added.
Reps for Kimora did not respond immediately to Page Six’s request for comment.
The former couple, who were married from 1998 to 2009, share daughters Ming Lee, 25, and Aoki Lee, 23; she also has three sons from two other exes and a son she adopted in 2020.
“Usually I would say that I co-parent OK, but the kids are with me full-time,” Kimora told People in an interview published Thursday. “I’m pretty much the primary parent. It’s difficult, but I don’t know sometimes what other people are thinking. Guys are weird.”
“If I wasn’t this person, I don’t know if we would’ve made it or if we would be okay,” she added of her family.
Back in May, Kimora noted that Russell’s relationship with daughter Aoki was “nonexistent.”
She stated at the time, “I do the allowance. And no, it hasn’t been upped [recently].”
Kimora has put her life as a single mom to five kids on full display for viewers in her new series, “Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane.”
The series premiered earlier this month on E!.
