Karen Huger was sentenced to one year in prison after being found guilty of DUI.
The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star learned her fate from the judge during a hearing in Montgomery County, Md., on Wednesday.
Huger was sentenced to a two-year prison term, with one year suspended, according to Washington DC’s local Fox 5 News.
The Bravolebrity had been facing up to two years behind bars for her fourth alcohol-related traffic offense.
Prosecutors previously said they were only seeking six months, while Huger’s attorneys had been pushing for rehabilitation instead of jail time.
Huger, 61, was convicted by a Maryland jury in December 2024 following a two-day trial and five-hour deliberation.
She was found guilty of five out of six charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), negligent driving, failure to control speed and failure to notify authorities of an address change.
She was acquitted of the reckless driving charge.
The charges stemmed from the reality star’s arrest last March after she crashed her Maserati into a median and street signs while traveling at a high rate of speed in Potomac, Md.
At the time, a representative for the Montgomery County Police Department told TMZ that Huger was driving her luxury vehicle in “an aggressive manner.”
In police bodycam footage from her arrest, Huger admitted to being “drunk” and bizarrely referred to herself as “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine.”
She also told a cop that he was “white and poor” during her interrogation.
In January, Huger’s rep revealed that she had checked herself into rehab after the Grand Dame was notably absent from the “RHOP” Season 9 reunion.
“Karen made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so [she] was unable to attend the reunion taping,” her rep told the Daily Dish at the time.
“We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey and are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth.”
However, the damage may already be done in terms of her future with Bravo.
A source exclusively told Page Six that “she would need to clean up her act [for the network] to move forward with her” at this point.
Huger has starred on “RHOP” since its debut season.
