Michelle Trachtenberg underwent a liver transplant shortly before her death at age 39.
Sources told The Post Wednesday that the actress recently had surgery and may have been experiencing complications.
Although the “Gossip Girl” alum’s cause of death has not officially been released, insiders said she died of natural causes.
They also claimed her passing is not being investigated as suspicious.
The “Ice Princess” star’s mom, Lana Trachtenberg, found Michelle around 8 a.m. Wednesday in her New York City apartment.
She was “unconscious and unresponsive” at the time.
Michelle’s rep confirmed the news of her death with Us Weekly, saying, “It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away. The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.”
Last year, the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum sparked health concerns with an Instagram selfie — and clapped back at “haters” in the comments section.
“Explain to me how I look sick,” she wrote in January 2024. “Did you lose a calendar and not realize I’m not 14. I’m 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment.”
Michelle noted in a separate post that she had come across “several comments” regarding her looks.
“I have never had plastic surgery I am happy and healthy,” the “EuroTrip” star wrote at the time, telling trolls to “check” themselves before commenting.
Her last upload to the platform was a throwback photo about a red carpet look channeling “naughty Tinker Bell” on Feb. 18.
Trachtenberg shared a recent picture the previous week, captioned, “Eye of the Tiger.”
She is best known for playing Georgina Sparks on “Gossip Girl” and Dawn Summers on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
The Daytime Emmy nominee was also known for her roles in “Harriet the Spy,” “17 Again” and more movies.
