Christina Fulton felt like she had no other option but to take legal action against Nicolas Cage and their son, Weston Cage, after the latter allegedly assaulted her.

“I have been heartbroken as a mother for a very long time,” she told TMZ Monday as she made her way to a Los Angeles court.

“I have done this alone, been left alone, if not blocked, and I hold a lot of people responsible, especially the LAPD,” she added, claiming that officers “left [her] on the ground bleeding” when she reached out for help.

“I’m here again as a mother. I love my son — tough love. We’re here dealing with a mental health crisis epidemic and I’m here again, so I want all those parents and mothers to know I’m here. I will be here for you all and I will be here for my son.”

Fulton then clarified that Nicolas had allegedly “blocked” her, and she was taking legal action against him because “he’s [Weston’s] father” and “could have done a hell of a lot more.”

She also noted that she has yet to talk to Weston, 34, again because they are “in court” before claiming that he has yet to get any help for his alleged mental health issues.

Back in May 2024, Weston was accused of hitting Fulton after she was seen with a black eye and several facial bruises.

Sources told TMZ at the time that he was named as a suspect in a battery report regarding an incident involving the actress at her Los Angeles home on April 28, 2024.

Fulton had allegedly invited Weston over after she was asked to help her son through an “emotional moment” when they began having a verbal spat.

Shortly after, things allegedly turned physical and first responders were called to the residency. However, Fulton was not taken to a hospital to treat her injuries.

Page Six then confirmed in July that the mixed martial artist was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly attacking his mom. He was later released on a $150,000 bond.

Speaking to People about the incident, Fulton said, “On Sunday, April 28, I was reached out to by several of Weston’s best friends for assistance because they were experiencing Weston in a mental health crisis.

“Upon my arrival, I was met by my son who clearly was in a state of a mental health breakdown, which in turn became a horrific experience,” she continued. “I have always supported helping my son with his mental health struggles. I am doing all I can to get him the continued support he needs.”

She also claimed that he was “in the midst of a manic rage” when she saw him that fateful day and “within minutes, [she] was brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries.”

Authorities further confirmed to the outlet that Weston “punched two victims multiple times, causing injury.” However, it’s unknown who the second person is.

The district attorney filed two counts of assault with a deadly weapon against Weston on June 26, with an arrest warrant issued at a later date.

In July 2024, Fulton and her son faced off in court, where Weston pleaded not guilty and claimed his mom needed mental health help.

The “Snake Eyes” actress then took even more drastic measures against her son when she also sued his father, Nicolas, for negligence, negligent supervision and negligent undertaking.

In her lawsuit against the actor and their son, she claimed that Nicolas “failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others.”

She wrote, “Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals.”

She also alleged that the Oscar winner, 61, aided Weston’s allegedly “reckless” lifestyle and has not provided him with the “necessary psychiatric” help.

She further claimed the “Wicker Man” star drinks alcohol with Weston “despite knowing his substance abuse history” and has repeatedly bailed him out of jail.

“Nicolas knew or should have known that Weston posed a serious and imminent danger to others, including Plaintiff, based on his documented history of violent assaults, substance abuse, and mental instability,” Fulton wrote.

In response, the actor’s lawyer called Fulton’s allegations “absurd and frivolous” in a statement to Page Six.

“Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man,” the statement continued. “Mr. Cage does not control Weston’s behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston’s alleged assault of his mother.”

Additionally, Weston’s lawyer, Michael A. Goldstein, called Fulton’s legal action “nothing short of a money grab and call for attention.”

Fulton also sued Weston for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

She also insisted that the altercation has “derailed” her life and “required extensive medical care, surgeries, and treatments” to treat a brain concussion, multiple contusions, a disfiguring eye injury, dental trauma, PTSD and psychological damages.
