Well, we are talking about Ram Gopal Varma whose iconic film Satya was re-released in theaters recently. The film was originally released 27 years ago and starred Urmila Matondkar and Manoj Bajpayee in the main roles. Well, this film boosted the careers of Ram Gopal Varma, Urmila Matondkar, and Manoj Bajpayee.
The director is known for his superhit films Rangeela and Satya. Ram Gopal Varma has directed several films in his 32-year career. But, his 21 films did not do well at the box office and could not create magic like Satya. As Satya re-released, Ram Gopal Varma shared an emotional post where he revealed that he watched the film after 27 years and it made him realize he had lost his way as a filmmaker. He also said that his recent movies lacked the honesty and truth of Satya due to which his films failed badly at the box office.
The filmmaker has announced his next project, a movie called Syndicate, and said that it is the most terrifying film. He said that the film is unlike horror movies featuring ghosts or supernatural elements and will showcase a dark and terrifying side of humanity. Ram Gopal Varma wrote on social media that humans are the most frightening creatures and revealed that the storyline of the film will be focused on his upcoming film. After he announced the film, on January 23, he was arrested and the Mumbai court has held Ram guilty in a cheque-bouncing case filed by a company in Vile Parle. They had provided hard disks to the former and the court has sentenced the filmmaker, the proprietor of the firm, to three months imprisonment. Ram was asked to pay a compensation of Rs 3,72,219 to the complainant.
