It’s not a good thing when a giant Knick lands on your foot.

Martha Stewart appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday and shared the story behind her broken toe, courtesy of New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.

The lifestyle mogul, 84, was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden in May when Brunson crashed into her during a playoff game against the Indiana Pacers. The collision left her with a fractured big toe, which she’s dubbed the “Brunson Fracture.”

“Never, ever wear open-toed shoes to a game like that when you’re sitting on the floor,” Stewart advised after Fallon showed a photo of her at the game in strappy gold sandals.

The irony is that those exposed toes are now a necessary fixture in her wardrobe.

“That’s why I’m wearing open-toed shoes, because it’s the only kind of shoes I can wear now,” she explained, pointing to her Manolo Blahnik Patopia Slingback Sandals ($835) on set.

Stewart, who recently reissued her first book, 1982’s “Entertaining,” recalled that Brunson didn’t just step on her — he landed in her lap. And despite the chaos, she noticed one surprising detail about the NBA star.

“I grabbed his arm and his arm was like icy cold,” she said. “And I thought, he’s a basketball player, he should be sweaty — he was cool as a cucumber.”

Her response to the Knicks captain in the moment was remarkably gracious.

“I said ‘It’s OK,’ that’s all I said,” Stewart shared. “And he didn’t know he broke my foot, but he broke my foot.”

To make matters worse, the game went into overtime, leaving Stewart stuck in her seat with a throbbing toe.

“I couldn’t get up and leave to go take care of my toe,” she said.

Stewart also offered a wry observation about the 6-foot-2 point guard: “He’s not even big… he has big feet though.”

When Fallon asked whether the domestic diva followed up with Brunson after the game, Stewart revealed she took a different approach.

“I told his parents,” she said with a laugh. Brunson’s dad is an assistant coach for the team.

As for compensation? Stewart walked away with a signed basketball for her grandchild.

Broken toe or not, Stewart is busier than ever: She’s currently starring in American Eagle’s holiday campaign and remains a prolific poster of poolside thirst traps.

Whether courtside or tableside, we can always count on Martha Stewart to be an excellent guest.
