After three months of renovations, Food Opera at Ion Orchard is set to reopen with a revamped look reminiscent of the Old Orchard Road shopping streets in the 1970s.
Eighteen of the 24 stalls will be new, offering a mix of brands with storied histories and awards under their belt.
The space can seat up to 600 diners and is set to welcome customers on Monday (Sept 28).
Here are some of the stalls to look forward to.
Ming Chung White Lor Mee
With 93 years of history, Ming Chung White Lor Mee is making its food hall debut under its fourth-generation owner.
Try out its signature Henghua braised noodles, wok-fried in a rich white broth.
Berempah Bros
The brainchild of Derek Cheong, winner of MasterChef Singapore Season 2, Berempah Bros first opened at Beauty World Food Centre back in January 2026 and has since rapidly expanded to stalls in Canberra, Sengkang, Woodleigh, CIMB Plaza at Raffles Place and now Ion Orchard.
Berempah Bros aims to bring restaurant-calibre dining to the food hall with its aromatic, spiced fare.

Hillman Restaurant
Cantonese eatery Hillman Restaurant, founded in 1963, is now run by third generation owners.
It is bringing its traditional claypot cooking and signature paper-wrapped chicken to Food Opera.
Ah Er Herbal Soup
Run by a husband-and-wife duo since 2012 at Bukit Merah’s ABC Brickworks, Ah Er Herbal Soup has appeared on Michelin’s Bib Gourmand list for 10 years between 2017 to 2026.
Now opening at Food Opera, you can get a taste of their double-boiled, slow-brewed nutritious soups in air-conditioned comfort.
Wah Eng Beef Noodles
From top hotels like Shangri-La to their first food hall venture and standalone store, Wah Eng Beef Noodles is bringing 78 years of history to Food Opera.
Their signature is a Hainanese dry beef noodle dish served with a rich, thick beef gravy.
More new offerings
If this isn’t enough to whet your appetite, Food Opera will also include stalls like Hakka Bond Express, First Street Fried Prawn Noodles, Bib Gourmand-awarded MP Thai, and Treasure Bakery, a new concept blending British baking traditions with Nanyang flavours.
The food hall will also introduce the Orchid Gallery, a retail and lifestyle concept bringing together five homegrown brands like Thye Moh Chan and Irvins for patrons to take home local delights.
