Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, was spotted at an award ceremony yesterday, and she was there with their son, Yashvardhan. However, here’s the thing – Govinda was nowhere to be seen. For anyone who hasn’t heard, there have been reports suggesting trouble in their marriage, with rumors floating around that they might be heading for a divorce. When Sunita was asked about Govinda’s absence, her reaction totally surprised fans.
Sunita Ahuja happily posed for the cameras along with son Yashvardhan Ahuja, but when shutterbugs screamed ‘Govinda Sir Kahan Hai?’, she did not answer, but reacted in a shocking way. She asked ‘What?’ before bursting into laughter. When the paparazzo quipped that he’ll arrive late, Sunita Ahuja replied saying, ‘Late but not the least’. When another cameraperson mentioned that Govinda is being missed, she was quick to reply, “Humlog bhi kar rahe hai (We are also missing him.)”
Netizens are not happy with Sunita Ahuja’s reply to question on Govinda’s absence. One of the comments on the video read, “The world knows her because of him and now she’s laughing like this???” Another one wrote, “Her laugh is so irritating.”

Rumours of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s divorce started after she made multiple shocking statement to the media. In one of the interviews, she revealed that they have been living separately. However, later, in another interview, she clarified and revealed the reason behind the decision. She said that as Govinda joined politics, a lot of party workers started visiting him. To ensure their privacy wasn’t invaded, she decided to live separately. Sunita Ahuja said, “Ab jab beti jawan ho gayi hai, hum ghar mein aaram se shorts pehen kar ghoomte hain, isliye humne samne hi ek office le liya tha. Agar is duniya mein koi mai ka laal mujhe aur Govinda ko alag kar sakta hai, toh samne aakar dikhaye (Our daughter has grown up now, I wander around the house peacefully in shorts, which is why we took an office space near our house. If there’s anyone who can separate me and Govinda, please come forward).”
