Content creator Cole Walliser broke his silence on the E! Glambot drama, from the controversy around Jennifer Lopez to the more recent allegations made against him by a potential client.

“I want to talk about some emails that I sent years ago that resurfaced recently,” Walliser, 44, began in a two-minute-long Instagram video uploaded on Tuesday, January 27. “The tone in these emails is dismissive and curt, and that is not OK.”

The emails Walliser is referring to came from a woman named Yinka Animashaun, who reached out in 2019 to book the Glambot for her wedding. During an interview with People from January 20, Animashaun said she was “hurt” by the interaction with Walliser.

“As a Black woman I am no stranger to people making assumptions about who I am or what I am capable of, but I think his responses to me were exceptionally unprofessional and unkind,” she said. “I was preparing for one of the best days of my life, and to this day, his response shocks me.”

Walliser explained in Tuesday’s video that he “did not have a team” in 2019. Therefore, he “edited every single video” and “answered every single email” for his business.

“I was overwhelmed, but that is not an excuse. Everything lands on me,” he admitted, noting that “the hardest part” of the situation for Walliser was that he has been labeled a “racist.” Walliser explained that he is “half Chinese” so he has experienced struggles with “identity, race and belonging” throughout his own life.

“I would never intend to inflict that onto anybody else,” he continued. “I do understand that reading these emails, people could be upset and assume bias. Especially, given the frequency with which people of color experience being dismissed.”

The Glambot has been in the news for weeks, beginning after Lopez stopped at Walliser’s booth during the 2026 Golden Globe Awards earlier this month. Fans were quick to claim that Lopez, 56, didn’t speak to Walliser at all during their interaction. However, he defended the singer.

“I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” Walliser said. “I think there’s a couple things that added to the fuel of this idea. One, she’s just down to business. The carpet was closed. She’s ready to go inside. She knew what she was gonna do. She got into the position.”

Walliser appeared to address this topic as well during Tuesday’s Instagram video. He spoke candidly about some “concerns” that were raised after people claimed they felt “mistreated” while doing the Glambot at a red carpet event.

“Live events move really fast and I would never want someone to come see me and leave feeling that way,” he added. “I do understand that it could happen and it did happen. For that, I am sorry.”

Walliser told fans that he’s “grown” while working the Glambot on red carpets over the past seven years.

“I always want to treat everyone with respect they deserve, but clearly, more could be done,” he added. “I can do better. That’s a thing that I want to focus on improving and working towards being better.”
