Even though Dhurandhar is grabbing attention for its powerful characters, it appears that the late Pakistani cop Chaudhary Aslam’s wife is unhappy with the way her husband has been portrayed in the film. Read on to know.

Dhurandhar was released on December 5, 2025, and also stars Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna. Dhurandhar is currently in the news. It is said to be based on terrorism and gang warfare in Pakistan. Many of the characters in the film are inspired by real people. One of these characters is that of a famous Pakistani police officer, Chaudhry Aslam Khan, played by actor Sanjay Dutt. However, a new controversy has now arisen regarding this film. Chaudhry Aslam’s wife, Noreen, has accused the film of portraying her husband in a negative light.

Chaudhary Aslam’s wife criticises Dhurandhar

Noreen recently appeared on a Pakistani podcast, where she expressed her displeasure with the film. She explained that her husband was a huge fan of Sanjay Dutt and hoped that Sanjay would do justice to his character. However, she was deeply hurt by the use of words like “son of the devil” and “jinn” for Aslam in the film’s trailer. Noreen stated that she is Muslim and such words are insulting not only to her husband but also to her mother-in-law.

Noreen stated clearly that if her husband is portrayed in a negative light or his image is tarnished in the film, she will definitely take legal action. She said, “We are Muslims, and such words are disrespectful not only to Aslam but his mother, who was a simple, honest woman. If I see my husband being portrayed wrongly or any propaganda against him in the film, I will definitely take all the legal steps I can. It is strange that Indian filmmakers find no other subjects but to malign Pakistan.”

Who is Chaudhary Aslam Khan?

Chaudhary Aslam Khan was born in 1963. He joined the police service in the 1980s. After 2000, he was assigned to the anti-gang operation in Karachi’s Lyari area. He eliminated many dangerous criminals. He survived a Taliban attack in 2011, but was killed in a bomb blast by the TTP in 2014.
