Lego Grows Its 200-Plus Harry Potter Collection With Eight New Sets

The Harry Potter franchise has one of the largest collections of Lego, with more than 200 sets released since the theme debuted in 2001. Now, the toy company has added eight more builds to its long-running Wizarding World lineup, spanning character models, Hogwarts architecture, main-cast minifigures, magical creatures, a Patronus and plants.

While most of the eight sets are currently on backorder through Lego’s official store, with Dobby the Free Elf the notable exception, outside retailers (Macy’s, Walmart, etc.) have ready-to-ship inventory for the remainder. These include Nook: Dumbledore’s Office, Norbert: Hagrid’s Baby Dragon, Knockturn Alley Wizarding Shops, Hogwarts House Crest, Hogwarts Castle: East Wing, Hogwarts Herbology Plants and Forbidden Forest: Expecto Expecto Patronum.

The latest Lego releases arrive during a year packed with Harry Potter nostalgia, fueled by the anticipation surrounding HBO’s new series, slated to premiere Dec. 25, as well as the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone film, which debuted in 2001.

Dobby is fully articulated, with movable fingers, wrists, arms, legs and head. The set also includes the diary, sock, Skele-Gro and other recognizable accessories. This is also Lego‘s first brick-built version of Kreacher.

It is the third Lego set based on Dumbledore’s office, following versions released in 2002 and 2022. At 1,182 pieces, the new book nook is also the largest of the three.

Lego calls it the first brick-built Norbert at this scale. The model has a movable head, legs and foil wings and can be displayed emerging from its egg or standing independently, measuring more than 12 inches long and 14 inches wide.
