Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose has alleged Noel Clarke was a predator on the set of the SAS: Rise of the Black Swan conspiracy thriller that shot in 2020.
Her accusation came on the same day the Doctor Who star was criminally charged in the UK with sexual assault, voyeurism and exposure. The offenses, brought by London’s Metropolitan Police, are alleged to have taken place between 2007 and 2016 and relate to five women.
“Noel Clarke has been charged. Years ago he preyed on a woman who worked on our SAS film. I reported him. No one cared. I was told not to get involved. Nobody followed up. So many came forward, finally some justice,” Rose wrote in a Threads post on Wednesday.
Rose played Grace Lewis and Clarke had the role of Major Bisset in the 2021 thriller that also starred Andy Serkis, Tom Hooper, Hannah John-Kamen and Sam Heughan. The criminal charges against Clark come five years after a Guardian exposé published claims from 20 women accusing the British actor of groping, sexual misconduct and bullying, as well as sources alleging they were “sexually harassed or inappropriately” touched on the set of Doctor Who.
Voyeurism refers to when someone secretly watches, photographs or films another person without their consent for sexual gratification. Rose gave no details of specific allegations against Clarke in her Threads post.
Rose also made sexual assault claims against Katy Perry after a nightclub incident in Melbourne in 2010 that led to an investigation by Australian police. Representatives for Perry refuted the alleged claims of a sexual offence by Rose as “reckless lies.”
The Hollywood Reporter did not immediately hear back from reps for Rose about her separate allegations against Clarke on Wednesday.
