Where will the Disney Adventure take you next?
As it turns out, Langkawi — as the Malaysian archipelago will be added as a stop aboard the Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line (DCL)’s only ship based in Singapore.
According to a post on Disney Parks Blog, the new port of call will be available on select sailings from Dec 31 through May 2027, allowing guests the opportunity to explore the area’s “lush rainforests and scenic coastline ashore”.
Located off the coast of Malaysia’s northwest, Langkawi is famed for its nature tourism, and is recognised as a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2007.
The new itinerary will include a day visit to Langkawi on the third day of the voyage, reported The Straits Times. DCL will also be offering shore excursions, called Port Adventures, through independent operators.
A check by AsiaOne on DCL’s website showed that prices for the 4-Night Langkawi Cruise from Singapore begins at $1,913 for two guests.
New sailing dates from September through December next year have also been announced, with prices starting from $1,770 for two guests.
First announced in 2023, Disney Adventure is DCL’s first ship to be homeported in Asia.
It embarked on its maiden voyage from Marina Bay Cruise Centre on March 10 this year, after its original sailing date was pushed back from Dec 15, 2025 due to “unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process”.
The ship will be ported here for at least five years from its first sailing as part of a collaboration between DCL and Singapore Tourism Board.
Up until the announcement of the Langkawi stop, Disney Adventure had only been offering three-to-four-night cruises without any scheduled stops, with experiences centred mainly onboard.
