Gisele Bündchen reportedly limited her wedding guests to close family for an important reason.
“Gisele didn’t feel the need to share the wedding with anyone outside of her family unit,” an insider told People in comments published Saturday.
“It just reflected where she is in her life right now.”
The outlet reported that the supermodel, 45, and jiu-jitsu instructor, 38, wed at their home in Surfside, Fla. in an intimate ceremony.
Page Six was the first to report that the couple secretly wed, with a Valente source telling us, “He is thrilled they finally tied the knot after having a kid together.”
The alleged nuptials come after they welcomed their first child, whose name they’ve not yet divulged, Page Six confirmed in February.
“After the baby was born, it felt natural to get married,” the insider told the outlet.
“It wasn’t about outside pressure, or expectations. It was something she wanted for personal reasons and for her family.”
The source shared that the former Victoria’s Secret model is “very, very happy.”
The mom of three — who shares kids Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex-husband Tom Brady — is also enjoying her laid-back lifestyle.
“She loves the life she built in Florida,” the source divulged, adding that she’s “focused on family, home life and a slower pace.”
“She’s selective about work and prioritizes creating a peaceful environment for her children,” they shared.
The source also shared the couple is on the same page as they navigate their new life together. “Joaquim came into her life at a moment when she was already ready for a slower, more grounded life,” the source said.
Valente and Bündchen were friends before their romance developed “naturally over time,” the source also shared.
“His calm, low-key approach to life fits with where she is now,” the insider concluded. “She’s focused on family, balance and well-being.”
Reps for Bündchen and Valente did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Bündchen — who divorced Brady in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage — began dating Valente in 2023 and went public with the relationship in 2024.
A source told TMZ in October 2024 that the pair was expecting their first child together.
Brady — who, along with Benjamin and Vivian, shares son Jack, 17, with ex Bridget Moynahan — took to Instagram on Saturday with a cryptic message following news of Bündchen’s marriage.
The NFL star shared a football thirst trap and a selfie while wearing a hoodie reading “Forever young.”
