Kritika Kamra has been making headlines ever since she confirmed her relationship with Gaurav Kapur on Instagram. The actress recently shared a series of pictures on the social media site with her new flame. Amidst the buzz about her relationship, an old interview of hers discussing the reason behind her breakup with ex-boyfriend Karan Kundrra has resurfaced. Kritika and Karan were romantically involved when they shot for the hit TV soap, Kitani Mohabbat Hai. The onscreen romance of their characters, Arohi and Arjun, was loved by the audience. Not only that, when they broke up in real life, their fans were heartbroken. Years passed by, but their well-wishers still love to see Arohi and Arjun together. Why Kritika Kamra and Karan Kundrra broke up?

Kritika Kamra and Karan Kundrra’s love blossomed in the show Kitani Mohabbat Hai. They dated for two years from 2009 to 2011, which also coincided with the duration of the show. Soon after the show culminated, there were reports of their breakup. Almost a year after their split, Kritika opened up about the reason behind it. In an interview with the Times of India, the actress said, “There is no definite reason for my split with Karan. There was no fight. Both of us got very busy with our new shows and this took a toll on our relationship. It is really sad that we couldn’t take care of our relationship. There was an emotional attachment, we were together 24/7, but he never proposed to me and I am glad he didn’t. We never planned life, getting married in five years or anything of that sort. There were no talks of a breakup either.”

Their fans might not have moved on from the Kitani Mohabbat Hai couple, but they have moved on in their real life. After meeting as participants in Bigg Boss 15 in 2021, Karan started dating Tejasswi Prakash. The latter recently shared that discussion around the marriage has been going on between them. Meanwhile, Kritika confirmed her relationship with Gaurav after sharing some glimpses from her breakfast date with him.
