With Dry January here, mocktails are popping up on menus (and TikTok algorithms) all over.

But perhaps no beverage has gone quite as viral in the first weeks of 2026 as Olipop’s Shirley Temple . In addition to launching with a campaign starring Jean Smart, the smooth vanilla and cherry blend has generated plenty of buzz on social media.

Given we’re always reporting on the latest trends — whether skincare or soda — we knew we had to get our hands on one (or 25) of the nostalgic probiotic beverages.

After all, as mocktails go, this brand’s celebrity status is nothing to mock. Nick Jonas, Gwyneth Paltrow and Camila Cabello (to name but a few) have all invested in the brand. (And given the Shirley Temple flavor is being served at NYC celeb hotspot Ray’s all month, perhaps it’ll find its way into more A-listers’ routines soon, too.)

Read on for our honest thoughts on the grenadine-inspired beverage. (Just don’t ask us for a sip — our staffers were so excited, we ran out within five minutes of cracking open the case.)

Our review

“I’ve been searching high and low for this flavor ever since I saw it on TikTok and yup, it lived up to the hype. It’s the perfect amount of sweetness, and I will definitely be reaching for this in the office when I need a little treat (which is often)” — Brooke Matalon, Social Media Marketing Manager

“When I mentioned offhandedly that we were writing this story, several people in the office immediately messaged me to say they’d been trying to get their hands on a can. I found it offered just the right amount of sweetness. The perfect mid-afternoon treat!” — Hannah Southwick, Page Six Associate Shopping Editor

“Olipop is my favorite of the ever-growing suite of prebiotic soda brands. I think it typically nails a balance of not-overly-sweet flavor, crisp soda effect, and better-for-you ingredients. I was intrigued by the nostalgia of the new Shirley Temple flavor, and while I think it tastes good, I didn’t quite get the cherry and grenadine-forward signature taste of its namesake. Nonetheless, I thought it was a nice, sweet afternoon treat.” — Meaghan Seward, Senior Audience Optimization & Discovery Strategist

“Surprised at how much I liked it! It tasted like marshmallows and just needs some whiskey for optimal flavor.” — Michelle Moezam, Senior Commerce Social Media Marketing Manager

“It tastes a little more cream soda than Shirley Temple, which makes sense with the marshmallow root as an ingredient. It’s lighter and more refreshing than a heavier cream soda or a syrupy Shirley Temple made with actual grenadine.” — Adam Schubak, Senior Manager of Growth
