Victoria Beckham is devastated over her son Brooklyn Beckham’s scathing statement on the family’s estrangement, but there’s one line that’s reportedly left her in absolute shambles.
According to the Mirror UK, Victoria, 51, is “completely heartbroken” over Brooklyn’s mention of his and wife Nicola Peltz’s “future family” because she knows that means she won’t be part of their kids’ lives.
“All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family,” Brooklyn, 26, ended his lengthy list of accusations against his “controlling” and “performative” mother and father, David Beckham.
The subtle hint at possible grandchildren was “particularly hurtful to Victoria and David,” the Mirror UK reported, as becoming grandparents would be a “dream” for the Spice Girls member-turned-fashion designer and the retired soccer star.
Victoria — who is also mom to sons Romeo Beckham, 23, and Cruz Beckham, 20, as well as daughter Harper Beckham, 14 — was asked in a February 2024 interview with Vogue whether she was “excited to be a grandmother.”
“Oh, Jesus. What? Woo! Hang on,” she let out as she loosened her collar and fanned herself with her hand. “I don’t think it’s happening just yet. Unless you guys know something that I don’t, it’s not happening just yet.”
However, she made sure to add, “Hopefully one day, if I am blessed then that would be wonderful. But we’re not there just yet.”
Still flustered by the thought, Victoria continued to fan herself, adding, “Christ, it’s hot. Guys, it’s hot in here! What’s happening?”
Meanwhile, Brooklyn revealed in an August 2022 interview with “Entertainment Tonight” that he wanted to be a “young dad” and have “10 kids” with Peltz, 31.
On Monday, Brooklyn took to his Instagram Story to upload a jaw-dropping post about his ongoing family feud, confirming many longstanding rumors.
He accused his parents of trying to “ruin” his relationship with Peltz “since before [their] wedding” in April 2022.
“Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children,” Brooklyn claimed.
“They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.”
Tensions boiled over just before the wedding, as Victoria allegedly “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour.”
Brooklyn also claimed his mom called him “evil” for choosing to have his and Peltz’s grandmothers sit at their table “because they both didn’t have their husbands,” while both sets of parents “had their own tables equally adjacent to” the bride and groom.
Then during the reception, Victoria allegedly “hijacked” the newlyweds’ first dance and proceeded to dance “very inappropriately” on her son, leaving him “uncomfortable” and “humiliated.”
Neither she nor David, 50, have publicly addressed Brooklyn’s allegations.
