Candy Raymond has died at age 75.
The sad news of Raymond’s passing was shared on Facebook on Wednesday, with no details given on her cause of death.
The Australian actress was best known for roles in racy soap opera Number 96 and iconic series Prisoner.
A slew of fans paid tribute to the star on Facebook, with one writing: ‘So sad. Beautiful woman.’
Another person wrote: ‘How very sad. May she rest in perfect peace.’
‘Great Australian actress. Rest easy beautiful lady,’ one more fan chimed in.

Raymond rose to fame in racy series Number 96, in which she played vixen Jill Sheridan.
The controversial show featured nude scenes and spicy story lines, in which Raymond appeared during her time on the series.
In prison drama Prisoner, she played jailbird journalist Sandra Hamilton.
In addition to her time on television, Raymond appeared in beloved Australian film Don’s Party.
The Sydney native likewise had a role in iconic 1970s Australian sex comedy Alvin Rides Again.
Raymond is also known for her appearances on The Norman Gunston Show.

Keeping a low profile in recent years, Candy last appeared on screen in 2008, in the documentary Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation!
Raymond had been living near Bowral, NSW prior to her death and is understood to have participated in local theatre.
