The Kardashian-Jenner clan is paring things back for Christmas Eve this year.

Kim Kardashian revealed during a recent interview with Vogue that her famous family is forgoing their annual over-the-top party for a more intimate gathering.

“We’re doing a really low-key Christmas Eve party this year,” she told the outlet at the grand opening of her New York City Skims store last week.

The reality TV star, 44, said there is “a lot of construction going on,” which would make hosting the swanky soirée difficult.

“So we’re doing a really family intimate one that I’m really excited about,” she added.

However, in typical Kardashian fashion, they will still be “dressing up to the nines.”

“Because that’s what we do,” Kardashian said.

Despite switching things up, Kardashian insisted the “legendary” parties aren’t gone for good.

“They’re just beginning,” she said. “Our kids love them and now all their friends want to come. It’s such a fun tradition.”

The tradition began at matriarch Kris Jenner’s Calabasas compound back in the late 1970s. In the decades since, the Skkn founder and sister Kourtney Kardashian have taken on hosting duties, rotating between their California mansions.

The planning process takes weeks and can cost up to $1.3 million, per People.

Regardless of who is hosting, the bash always has a star-studded guest list — with past attendees like Paris Hilton, John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Tyler the Creator and Timothée Chalamet.

In preparation for the party last year, Kim transformed her $60 million estate into a winter wonderland complete with fake snow and a full forest of Christmas trees.

A large cabin-like structure was built in her backyard to create a ski lodge as guests danced, sipped on festive cocktails and hit the man-made slopes out back.

In between singing Christmas carols, Babyface even took the stage for a special performance.

Kourtney chose a drastically different theme for her Christmas Eve party the year prior, filling her backyard with all-red everything.

The Poosh founder pulled out all the stops for the “wild and magical” party, which featured a performance from Grammy-winning artist Sia.

The “main event took place in a giant glass tent” and guests were treated to a cappuccino and matcha bar, a custom cocktail bar and “traditional family recipes” — such as mac and cheese, sweet potato souffle, and honey-baked ham.

In the separate kids’ tent, a balloon animal artist entertained the young guests before they jumped into the ball pit. There were also “entertainment elves from Santa’s workshop” who helped with crafts and activities,

2022’s party marked their first big celebration since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
