Taylor Swift fans have blasted the current fiancee of ex Matty Healy as they have accused her of conveniently timing out her bachelorette party to coincide with the frenzy of the pop megastar’s upcoming nuptials to Travis Kelce.
Model Gabbriette Bechtel, 28, enjoyed a very wild bachelorette party over the weekend as she and The 1975 singer, 37, who announced their engagement in 2024 after a whirlwind nine-month romance, are said to be tying the knot in July.
As Swift and Healy split in June 2023 after a turbulent relationship, some felt like the timing of both of their walks down the aisle is a bit too convenient.
Daily Mail has reached out to Bechtel’s representatives who refused comment.
Many users on the /r/MattyandGabbriette Reddit highly criticized the frontman and model’s decision to have their wedding festivities this summer and even speculated that it was done intentionally to ‘ride the wave’ of Swift and Kelce’s nuptials.
They wrote: ‘I know she thinks getting married around Taylor’s wedding will lead to her riding the wave of media frenzy around Taylor’s wedding but that’s not how it works.
‘Media is too obsessed with Taylor to care about Matty and Gabbriette.’

The user also went on to write about the frenzy surrounding speculation of Swift’s bachelorette party at her Rhode Island mansion in addition to Kelce, 36, enjoying a West Coast bachelor party as they insisted that no one will care about Healy and Bechtel as a result.
They continued: ‘Matty and Gabbriette will get buried in the sea of news surrounding Taylor’s wedding. They’re just not at the same level when it comes to public interest.’
They went on to claim that more people will care about Swift and Kelce’s wedding cake than images of Healy and Bechtel’s actual wedding.
The user concluded: ‘I’m sure Gabbriette thinks she’s competing with Taylor for who gets more attention on their respective weddings but it’s not a competition.
‘There’s one blurry video filmed from miles away of Taylor on her bachelorette weekend and that already made more noise than Gabbriette literally selling pictures from her bachelorette weekend online. Don’t compete where you can’t compare.’
Other Reddit users were just relieved that Healy and Bechtel will finally be getting married after a two year engagement.
They wrote: ‘FINALLY they need to get married so they can finally end things.’

She took to Instagram as she shared snaps of her hen do in a white bejewelled bra and matching pants.
The star later changed into a stylish white suit jacket and figure-hugging skirt as she posed beside huge ‘Mrs Healy’ balloons.

Guests at the bachelorette also received T-shirts which read: ‘I survived Gabbriette’s bachelorette Las Vegas 2026’.
Matty proposed to Gabbriette after a whirlwind nine-month romance and presented her with a large dark rock.
The pair have been linked since September 2023, following Healy’s split from Swift that June, when they were spotted enjoying a steamy PDA in New York City.

The performer was initially linked to Swift following their first meeting, which took place in 2014.
Matty had been seen publicly supporting the singer on her The Eras Tour, shooting the star loving glances as he attended her Nashville concerts.
The pair were also seen in NYC numerous times, leaving a recording studio and heading for dinner with her pals, Margaret Qualley, Phoebe Bridgers and Zoe Kravitz.
The rocker was previously in relationships with singers Halsey and FKA Twigs, and he separated from the latter in 2022.
