Neil Patrick Harris has been stepping up his gym routine this summer.
The How I Met Your Mother star, 53, displayed his legendary body as he spent a day at sea with his husband David Burtka, 51, and their children on board Elton John’s yacht.
Along with their children, the couple enjoyed a day of sunshine and swimming as they explored the South of France coast by sea.
Clearly Harris has been preparing for this moment at the gym.
A sculpted and shirtless Harris rinsed himself off in the ship’s outdoor shower, basking in the cool water and sea air.
Once dry, Harris explored the boat in little more than swimming trunks, sunglasses, and a necklace.

Meanwhile, Burtka opted for orange swimming trunks and a coordinating top.
The couple were clearly having a blast on the boat, bonding beneath the sunshine with their children and enjoying the last month of summer before their kids have to return to school.
They were also spotted chatting with one of their hosts, John’s husband David Furnish.
John and Furnish’s children joined the Harris-Burtka family in their boat hang as well.
The two couples have been friends for over a decade, a connection forged in part by their children.
Harris previously revealed that they forged a friendship after learning they both were about to have children.
Over dinner at Nobu in Greece, the couple confided in Furnish that they were expecting twin children.
‘We’re expecting twins through surrogacy and he kind of blanches and looks and says, “I have something to tell you that no one – literally like four people know – we’re expecting a boy on Christmas Eve,”‘ Harris recalled on The Howard Stern Show.
To their shock, Furnish revealed to them that he and John were also about to welcome a baby.
‘So we bonded over the fact that we were going to be dads together.’

The couple welcomed their twin children via surrogate in 2010 and married four years later.
Nearly two years ago, Neil and David opened up about their love for fatherhood and said they enjoy how their teenage kids’ friends have dubbed them the ‘coolest parents of the friend group.’
‘They’ve been great,’ Neil told People about their relationship with their kids at the beginning of their formative teenage years in 2024.
‘They’re surprisingly great. They’re city kids. They live in Manhattan, New York, so I find them fairly mature 13-year-olds, but it’s nice to see them navigate the world now that they’re teenagers with some sense of knowledge and sense of self.’

The acclaimed actor continued: ‘That’s what we work really hard as parents to do is instill some sort of values into them, and then you sort of let them go and exist, and they’re crushing it.’
He added that he and his husband are ‘very proud of them.’
Neil also gushed about their hardworking children and how much they enjoy being their kids’ dads, as he admitted their home has not yet become the ‘hangout spot’ they want it to be just yet.
‘Honestly, they’re at such a rigorous school. Literally, they come home and do homework. It’s wild,’ he said.

‘Not a hangout house yet. I mean, there are play dates and sleepovers and things like that, but maybe soon.’
However, David chimed in and proudly shared the compliment from their kids’ friends.
‘We’re definitely told we’re the coolest parents out of all the friend groups,’ he said, to which Neil jokingly added: ‘I didn’t realize it was a competition.’
Later, Neil added: ‘You hope as kids get older that they want to share more with you and are willing to tell you when things are happening, as opposed to just keeping you out of the loop. So that’s nice to hear.’
David added, ‘The more access you give them to yourself, I think the more access they’ll give to you.’
