Olivia Dean is said to have turned down the chance to headline Glastonbury next year as she plans to focus on writing new music instead.
The Rein Me In singer, 27, was reportedly offered the opportunity to play at this year’s festival, where her former love interest Harry Styles is tipped to perform.
Harry is heavily rumoured and is bookies’ favourite to headline the Pyramid Stage at the upcoming festival.
Olivia is instead hoping to play at the 2028 gig but her decision to not perform has ‘nothing to do with Harry’.
After his split from Taylor Russell, Harry sent tongues wagging after he was spotted on a burger date at Five Guys with Olivia in 2024.
An insider said: ‘Olivia’s team had conversations with Glastonbury about headlining in 2027 and she was extremely flattered.
‘But after some reflection, she said she wants to take some time to work on new music next year, with a rough plan to return when her third album is ready.

‘Of course, if she did it next year, her name would be right next to Harry’s and she just wants to move on from that now. She’s happy for him to have his moment, but she doesn’t feel like next year is hers,’ they added to The Sun.
The Daily Mail has contacted Olivia and Harry’s representatives for comment.
It was never confirmed that Harry and Olivia were dating and the duo were said to be just getting to know each other as they share a lot in common.
Last month, Olivia and Sam Fender made history after overtaking Bryan Adams to become the longest-running number one single of all time.
The duo’s hit Rein Me In has now had 17 weeks at the top of the charts, and despite many World Cup anthems climbing up the rankings at the time, they hung on to the coveted number one in the Official Charts.
It surpassed Bryan’s iconic song (Everything I Do) I Do It For You which notched up 16 consecutive weeks at the Official Singles Chart summit consecutively back in 1991.
Sam released the track more than a year ago on his solo album and he says watching its success has been ‘ridiculous’ and an ‘excuse to party’.
He jokingly added: ‘Take that, Marti Pellow!’
He also credited Olivia, saying: ‘Olivia putting the alternative narrative on it made the song really universal – that opened the floodgates. There’s two sides to the story. And, it’s a toe tapper! It’s officially a banger!’
