After Gadar 2, Sunny Deol is back on the big screen with the movie Jaat. The actor’s 2023 movie was a blockbuster and the expectations for the recent one are the same. Telugu director Gopichand Malineni made his debut with the movie in which Sunny plays a powerful character who stands against a man named Ranatunga, played by Randeep Hoda.
On its first day, Jaat earned Rs 9.5 crore at the box office and there was a drop on its second day. The day 2 collection was Rs 7 crore, bringing the total collection to Rs 16.5 crore. As per the reports, the Sunny Deol starrer is expected to earn between Rs 8-10 crore at the box office on its third day. Thus, one can expect it to earn around Rs 25 crore in three days.
Jaat also stars Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan and Jagapathi Babu. During promotions, Randeep talked about working with Sunny Deol. He said, “I still remember that we used to have his posters in our cupboards stuck with toothpaste during school days and get inspired. I have always been a huge fan of Sunny Deol. Growing up, we admired his powerful screen presence, his intensity, and his physique. I still remember us having his posters in our school hostel cupboards, looking at them and getting inspired to lift weights and do push-ups.”
Another movie that has released in theatres this Friday is Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly. Within two days, the South film earned Rs 44.25 crore at the box office. As reported by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 8.57 crore, and the total collection is now Rs 52 crore. Thus, it is on the verge of becoming a blockbuster.
So far, Good Bad Ugly is quite ahead in terms of numbers. It would be interesting to see how the Sunny Deol starrer performs in the coming days.
