Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon first worked together in the K-drama The King of Dramas (2012). Shin-hye was already popular because of her shows, You’re Beautiful and others. On the other hand, Tae-joon’s career was just kickstarting. The duo studied at the same college – Chung-Ang University.
Park Shin-hye studied drama and cinema, whereas Tae-joon was a theatre student. They were friends from college days. In 2017, their fans noticed how both actors often spend time together. They were spotted at the cafes, parks and other places. Thus, the dating rumours started. While their respective agencies had denied the same, the rumours kept getting stronger.
In 2018, after secretly dating for a year, the actors confirmed their relationship. In August 2019, Tae-joon joined the military service. In November 2021, Shin-hye announced that she was pregnant and would be getting married soon. The couple took nuptial vows on January 22, 2022, in Seoul, in a church. In May 2022, they welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
In 2025, after a sabbatical, Park Shin-hye made her acting comeback with Doctor Slump. Choi Tae-joon is also back to work after a break.
