Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in the 1993 romantic thriller – Darr. In the film, Sunny played the lead hero, whereas SRK played the villain Rahul. SRK’s character was obsessed with Kiran, played by Juhi Chawla. It is considered one of the best films of SRK. Despite being a villain, the superstar was praised for his performance.
Back then, there were reports of differences between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Darr. After three decades, things are not better between the two. Recently, in an interview, Sunny even stated that he would love to reunite with SRK for a film.
When asked which actor he would like to work with again, the Gadar 2 star told Pinkvilla, “Aise decide karna kiske saath karunga nahi… I mean, I would love to do it. I think anyone who is… Shah Rukh ke saath ek hi film ki thi. Toh ek aur kar sakte hain.”
Sunny added, “It would be nice because that was a different period, and now it’s a different period, so definitely. Pehle, humare directors had control over the whole thing. Aaj kal humare directors ke paas itna control nahi hai aur kahaniyaan waisi ban bhi nahi rahi hain, which will justify the images of the actors. Woh bahut zaruri hai.”
On the work front, Sunny Deol will be next seen in the movie Jaat. It will hit theatres on April 10, 2025.
