F1 fans can get a taste of the motor racing action before the Marina Bay Street Circuit heats up for the Singapore Grand Prix this October.
At the Thursday Pit Lane Experience on Oct 8, a total of 4,500 fans will get the opportunity to walk the pit lane, see the F1 garages up close, get a sneak peek of the Zone 1 F1 Village and enjoy interactive activities in the evening.
Only Singaporeans and permanent residents can sign up for the public ballot, now open till Sept 18, 11.59pm, Singapore GP announced on Wednesday (Sept 2).
Participants do not need to be ticketholders to enter the ballot, and each successful applicant will receive a pair of tickets to the Thursday Pit Lane Experience.
Besides the F1 races, Singapore Grand Prix also has a star-studded concert line-up featuring The Killers, Lana Del Rey, JJ Lin, Goo Goo Dolls, Janet Jackson, Mark Ronson, DJ Snake and many other artists.
F1 fever in Singapore
Over the past weekend, the Adidas Orchard Ignition event attracted crowds as Mercedes-Petronas AMG F1 driver Fred Vesti zoomed down a 600m stretch along Orchard Road and went on hot spins with K-pop group Babymonster.
The public was also treated to live performances by local artists Benjamin Kheng and Iman Fandi.

Motor racing fans can also journey through F1’s 76-year history at the F1 Exhibition, which is running at Gardens by the Bay till Oct 18.
The immersive experience features several legendary F1 cars, rare artefacts, iconic race suits and helmets.
Visitors can also hop on racing simulators to race around the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
