Everyone is waiting for some updates on Shah Rukh Khan’s next. The superstar ruled hearts and the box office with three blockbusters in 2023 – Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. In 2024 SRK had no theatrical release. This year too, he wouldn’t be seen on the big screen. However, in 2026, he will be back to entertain the audience with KING. We have a major update on the movie, which might make some SRK fans disappointed, especially if they are eagerly waiting for the superstar to get back in action.

Earlier, it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan’s KING will go on floors in the early months of 2025. However, it is March, and that has not happened so far. A new report states that the Siddharth Anand-directed movie is now delayed when it comes to its shooting schedule. The action-packed thriller will now go on floors in June this year.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, a source informed, “The film will be shot in India and Europe starting June 2025. Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix are committed to providing a larger-than-life cinematic experience to the audience and bringing the film to the big screen by the end of 2026.”

Along with SRK, the movie also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Munjya star Abhay Verma. Earlier, at the Locarno Film Festival, SRK talked about the movie, which was previously meant to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

The superstar said, I’ve been wanting to do a film like that for some time, and I really wanted to do a film like this for seven, eight years. We just felt Sujoy would be the right choice because we wanted it to be very emotionally correct. We are all coming together to make a cool, messy, action, emotional film. I will be shooting it for a couple of months. My director, Siddharth Anand, is very strict. He made Pathaan also. He has asked me not to reveal what we are doing. I can’t tell you but I can assure you that it will be entertaining. You will enjoy it.”
