Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco dropped “Sunset Blvd” and an accompanying music video on Friday, the couple’s second single off their upcoming collaborative album I Said I Love You First.

The retro-style video features Gomez daydreaming about Blanco. Her fiancé also makes appearances throughout, including as a mini Blanco. At the end of the video, Gomez even appears to eat him in one bite. “With open arms / holding you naked / middle of Sunset Boulevard,” she sings during the chorus.

“Sunset Blvd” lyrics are suggestive to say the least, as Gomez sings about how she “can’t wait to hold” Blanco’s “big hard heart” while delivering breathy vocals between lyrics. “I just wanna touch it, touch it / try your hardest not to bust it / gimme gimme how I love your big, big heart,” she sings during the bridge.

Gomez announced “Sunset Blvd” on Instagram earlier this week, telling fans that the song commemorates Blanco and Gomez’s first date, which took place on the famed Los Angeles street. The track is the follow-up to I Said I Love You First’s lead single “Call Me When You Break Up” featuring Gracie Abrams, which came out on Feb. 20. They released the project’s first single “Scared of Loving You,” co-written with Finneas, to announce the album just before Valentine’s Day. Other guest features on the album include J Balvin and Tainy.

I Said I Love You First comes out March 21 and marks Gomez’s first album since 2020’s Rare, which topped Billboard’s 200 Albums chart and stayed on the chart for 26 weeks. Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement this past December. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in a cover story last November, she said that “this is the safest I’ve ever felt” in a relationship.

Gomez added, “I see a future with this person.”
