Promoting his song Lonestar Lovers on TikTok, Brett Eldredge told fans that he has ‘always had a fascination with old West love stories, the ‘ride or die’ kind of love that you always read about in books.’
The romantic lyrics tell of two lovers ‘ridin’ out into the great unknown,’ with Eldredge declaring: ‘I could die with you in my arms.’
The country crooner, 40, was clearly speaking from the heart, for less than a year later he announced he had tied the knot with ‘an amazing woman who truly loves me for me.’
Eldredge revealed the news with his 1.6 million followers on Instagram and Tiktok, sharing a black and white photo of himself hand in hand with his new wife.
Fans hurriedly speculated over the identity of the new woman, trawling his social media accounts for clues.
Now, after weeks of speculation, the Daily Mail can confirm her name is Samantha Romberger, a 29-year-old model from Randolph, New Jersey.
After weeks of speculation, the Daily Mail can confirm who country singer Brett Eldredge has married, after he announced the news on Instagram last month (pictured on stage in 2020)
The pair were wed by a minister on May 9, according to a marriage certificate that was issued in Davidson County, Tennessee on June 24 and obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail. It was signed by a Davidson County clerk and deputy clerk.
Eldredge confirmed he had ‘got married’ on June 15 as he paid tribute to his new wife on Instagram.
The Drunk on Your Love artist said that life and his perception of it ‘have changed dramatically,’ adding ‘that there are so many amazing things ahead’ and that he is ‘so grateful [to] have such a beautiful soul to share it all with.’
Eldredge continued: ‘To me, some of the best things in life are the ones you plant and grow quietly in your sacred space, away from the noise. We value that deeply, and honestly, it soothes my soul.’
In the romantic announcement, Eldredge listed a series of traits he saw in his new bride that drew them closer together.
He said he had found ‘someone who’s just as goofy as I am… someone who loves weird barefoot dance-offs in the living room, looking up at the night sky and wondering what lies beyond what we cannot see.
‘Someone who’s just as goofy as I am,’ he wrote. ‘Someone who loves weird barefoot dance-offs in the living room, looking up at the night sky and wondering what lies beyond what we cannot see. Someone I can have rolling belly laughs with, cry with, and go through life’s tilt-a-whirl of emotions with. Someone who inspires me with her big, beautiful heart.’
Eldredge is said to have kept his relationship a secret after becoming the IT boy of country music.
Eldredge married Samantha Romberger on May 9, according a a marriage certificate obtained by the Daily Mail (Romberger pictured on her bachelorette bash at the end of March with a few girlfriends, including Nashville-based TikTok star Elle Leonard)
‘Brett stepped away from the public eye years ago,’ an insider told the Daily Mail. ‘He had quite the launch of his career and the attention was a bit too much for him. His mental health suffered and he chose to do something about it. It’s commendable to take a step back at the height of your career.
‘He went full on Ed Sheeran, got a flip phone, got off social media and worked on his mental health.
‘Brett couldn’t walk outside in Nashville without being bombarded, smothered and talked about. He was the IT guy in country music at the time and probably the most attractive. So I am not shocked he kept getting married private.’
Romberger, who was seen in a lace dress and a long veil in the picture Eldredge shared from their wedding day is affiliated with Ford Models’ Miami division.
A profile page, which claims she is 5ft 9, with hazel eyes and blonde hair, features a selection of photos of Romberger posing in lingerie and bikinis on a sandy beach.
Romberger, whose Instagram account is private, enjoyed a bachelorette party in Seaside, Florida, at the end of March with a few girlfriends, including Nashville-based TikTok star Elle Leonard, who documented some of the fun on her social media.
Leonard captioned an Instagram post ‘celebrating sammy’ to which Romberger replied: ‘Love you sooooo much.’
Also tagged in the post were Parris Stork and designer Amber Pierce.

Romberger’s face hasn’t featured on Eldredge’s socials, but she can be heard in the background, including in one TikTok video in which she implores him to ‘taste it’ after buying a bag of roasted chestnuts in Murano, Italy, back in November, before asking: ‘What’s the verdict?’
One month later he paid tribute to her, telling People: ‘I have an amazing person in my life and I’m very happy about it. These moments are really sacred to me and her. I’m very happy and things are going great.’
Fans on Reddit linked the pair as far back as a year ago, as an image in a thread appeared to show the couple taking in a basketball game.
Commenters on another Reddit thread earlier this year speculating on Eldredge keeping a low profile appeared to be aware of the romance, with one claiming Romberger had been spotted visiting Eldredge’s hometown of Paris, Illinois.
Eldredge, in a December 2025 interview with People indicated he was in a thriving relationship.
‘I have an amazing person in my life and I’m very happy about it,’ Eldredge told the outlet. ‘These moments are really sacred to me and her. I’m very happy and things are going great.’
Eldredge was previously linked to Victoria’s Secret model Rachel Hilbert. The pair dated briefly in 2015 after she starred as his on-screen love interest in the music video for his song Lose My Mind.
He was later rumored to have had a short-lived fling with Violetta Komyshan in 2022/3. Fans at the time speculated that his track Gorgeous was about the NYC ballerina. Neither party ever commented on the rumblings.
Eldredge revealed he had entered a new ‘era’ last year, telling fans he had spent ‘a lot of my life worrying about what others would think, worrying if they would ‘judge’ him on decisions he makes, his music, his fashion ‘who I love’ but got to a point where he thought ‘f**k it.’
