Sanjay Dutt announces new release date of his film; to clash with Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller on THIS date

Bollywood films’ clash at the box office draws a lot of attention. The competition gets intense as every film is made with the sole intention to mint numbers. It leads to a battle with all eyes being on the film that scores the highest. Recently, Jaat and Good Bad Ugly clashed at the box office. Now, the next big clash features The Bhootnii and Raid 2. Two powerhouses of talent – Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn – are going to clash at the box office as both the films are slated to release on May 1.

Sanjay Dutt recently took to his social media account to announce the change in release date of his film The Bhootnii that also stars Mouni Roy. The film was supposed to release on April 18. However, it has now been shifted to May 1 which also marks Labour Day. On his social media account he wrote, “Insaan mohabbat wali date fix kar sakta hai, bhootnii ke aane ki nahi… woh kab aayegi, kaise aayegi, yeh sirf wahi jaanti hai! Laga tha 18th April ko aayegi lekin ab aa rahi hai 1st May ko, taiyaar rehna!”

This means that The Bhootnii will be clashing with Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2. The crime thriller has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. The film stars Vaani Kapoor as the leading lady opposite Ajay Devgn. She has replaced Ileana D’cruz. Riteish Deshmukh will be seen as the villain in the film. Given that it is a sequel to an already hit film, the buzz around Raid 2 is quite high. It remains to be seen if any moves are made to avoid the box office clash. The battle does have a major impact on box office numbers. Over the past few years, Bollywood has been suffering as many big films have failed to leave a mark at the box office. The clash adds to a new challenge!
