Sam Thompson has addressed the five stages of grief on Thursday after his ex Zara McDermott moved on with One Direction star Louis Thomlinson.

Sam has now admitted he’s been feeling lonely since his ‘failed romance’ as he opened up to Paul Brunson on the latest episode of his Staying Relevant podcast.
Answering fans questions during the candid chat, Sam read out one relationship problem, ‘I recently split from my husband of 20 years how do I get back out there?
‘I feel like they’ve written this one for me’, he added.
Sam explained how he has recently been through ‘anger, disgust, and fear’ as he navigates moving on from Zara.

He said: ‘You should be taking time to sit in the feelings you have, there is anger, disgust and then there is fear and then there is surprise and happiness. I really needed it.
‘What Paul has said before in the main episode is you shouldn’t go out there straight away if it’s only a month or whatever understand how you are and find out how to love yourself and be on your own.
‘Eventually you will know when the time is right.’
Paul praised the I’m A Celebrity winner for his ‘great answer’ prompting Sam to admit, ‘it’s because that’s what I’m trying to do.’
Paul added while pointing at Sam: ‘It’s one thing to be lonely’, he replied: ‘Just pointed at me, it’s one thing to be a p***k’.
Paul explained: ‘You said you were lonely though, it is another thing to be in a relationship and be lonely’.
During the interview, Sam also got advice on setting up a successful dating app after reportedly already being back on celebrity dating app Raya.
Paul, who is Tinder’s Global Relationship Science Expert and Married at First Sight UK expert, explained: ‘First you want to complete the entire profile, most guys don’t, they only add one photo and one line.
‘Hack two, you need to add 5 photos, one profile of you smiling, most people post photos and their not genuinely smiling and you need a full body shot.’

Paul continued: ‘And then a hobby photo’, Sam added: ‘Pottery I love a bit of pottery, I made Pete [Wicks] an ashtray last week, which I need to pick up.’
Despite claims Sam was ‘blindsided’ by Zara’s new romance with singer Louis, it seems he was keen to move on himself as it has been reported he is already on dating app Raya.
As reported by The Sun, a fan claimed to have seen Sam on Raya last week, noting ‘So he’s back on the dating scene as well.’
Sam had made an account before meeting Zara, which he seemingly reinstated in the wake of their split.
As well as keeping busy by looking for love, Sam is also said to have been partying with his pals in Chelsea and his close friend Pete Wicks.
A source told The Mirror: ‘Sam has been making jokes about his life since the break up, and that’s not really something you’d be doing if you were experiencing total heartbreak. Of course they were sad, but they sort of accepted it a long time ago.
‘Sam has been going out and having fun again, he’s not dating anyone but he’s been on dates.
‘He’s been around the Chelsea lot and hanging out with Pete [Wicks] a lot. He’s really enjoying himself at the moment but doesn’t want to be tied down.’
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Sam Thompson for comment.
Sam is currently on a lads holiday in Italy, but was informed by Zara about her new relationship before it was made public.

Zara and Louis’ romance was exposed on Monday when a fellow diner at The Suffolk in Aldburgh took snaps of the Love Island star, 28, and the singer, 33, enjoying a romantic date.
The pictures confirmed rumours of a relationship first detected by sleuth-like One Direction fans who noticed Louis had followed Zara on Instagram and liked a string of her pictures.
According to Zara’s friends, Louis has put ‘a smile back on her face’ following her split from ex boyfriend of five years Sam on New Year’s Day.
A friend told MailOnline: ‘Zara is so happy, it’s early days with her and Louis but everything is going well between them.
‘News of their romance leaked sooner than they intended – the plan was to keep things private for as long as possible. They still hope to keep intimate details away from prying eyes.
‘Zara is enjoying being wined and dined and experiencing the thrill of dating someone new again.
‘She had been with Sam for years and in the end their relationship became transactional… they had lost their sparkle. Louis has certainly put a smile back on her face.’
Zara and Louis tucked into £100 fish and chips, plus cocktails, at the £315-a-night hotel in Suffolk.
The pair stayed at night and left for their respective London homes in the morning.
MailOnline revealed in January that Zara had split from longterm partner Sam after five years of dating.
They lived together in Sam’s Fulham house which was usually the base of the couple’s amusing TikTok videos.
Despite being ‘upset’ and ‘sad’ Zara has moved on so quickly, Sam bears no hard feelings towards Louis for dating his former partner.
The pair could face an awkward encounter in June for Soccer Aid as they both feature in the England squad to the charity match against a Rest of the World side.
A source close to Sam told MailOnline: ‘Sam has no hard feelings towards Louis, that’s for sure.
‘As far as he’s concerned, Louis is Zara’s new man and he’s just got to accept it.
‘He’s a positive guy and will just move on from this, throwing himself into work and getting stuck into the exciting projects he’s got coming up.
‘Obviously he was sad when their relationship broke up and, like anyone, when your ex moves so quickly it’s tough.
‘And if he was both angry and devastated, that would be understandable. But he’s not sitting around wallowing in self pity, far from it.’
Sam has yet to comment since Zara’s new romance was made public.
