Salman Khan is all set for the release of the much-anticipated film Sikandar, which has been directed by AR Murugadoss. For Sikandar – which has been slated for March 30 release – Salman is reportedly trying to keep promotions low-key because of security concerns. As mentioned in reports, the star won’t make multiple public appearances. Instead, he will promote the film on digital platforms ahead of the release.

As reported by Pinkvilla, the final trailer for Sikandar which is ready will be released either on March 23 or March 24, 2025. Besides this, a big trailer launch event for Sikandar too has been canceled. According to reports, it was expected to see the presence of 30,000 fans. It had to be called off due to security issues.

In a recent interview, director AR Murugadoss had revealed how he filmed Sikandar with Salman Khan amid death threats. While sharing the experience of working with Salman, Murugadoss said, “Salman sir is completely different. The scale of Sikandar was massive, we often had scenes with 10,000 to 20,000 people on set. Managing such large crowds required high security and intense coordination. Our schedule was so demanding, and it became more hectic with the threat.”

“Post that, the security was tightened and the checking of all the extra artistes on set would take 2-3 hours daily. Their entries and exits took major of our days and we would often start the shoot late and ended late by wee hours of the morning. Our biological cycle went on toss. But once we adapted, it became a routine, and the set had a very positive energy,” he added.

Salman’s security had to be beefed up following multiple death threats. Last year on November 5, a death threat message against Salman Khan was sent to Mumbai Police allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat message gave the actor two options – either an apology or pay ₹5 crore to stay alive. This video has become the most talked about thing in entertainment news.

AR Murugadoss is popular for directing Tamil and Hindi films including Ghajini, Thuppakki, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Sarkar. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar and Rashmika Mandanna. No details about the film’s plot has been shared so far.

The film’s songs too have been trending, courtesy the flawless and impeccable chemistry between Salman and Rashmika. These songs have clearly raised the excitement level among fans ahead of the movie’s release. This is after a long time we will see Salman Khan releasing his film on the occasion of Eid and it will be a Sunday release for Sikandar.
