Salman Khan made his big Eid comeback after two years with Sikandar, but it looks like it hasn’t quite lived up to the hype. The film, which hit theatres on March 30, has got mixed response from fans and critics alike. But here’s the good news, the movie has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India on its 8th day.

According to reports, Sikandar earned Rs 4.25 crore on its eighth day of release, and grand total summed up to Rs 102 crore net. The film saw a slight increase in revenue due to the weekend run. Sikandar earned Rs 26 crore on the day of its release, which was far less than Chhaava’s Rs 31 crore. By the end of its first week, Sikandar minted Rs 90.25 crore.

Sikandar is inching towards the Rs 200 crore club at the worldwide box office with an impressive collection of Rs 187.84 crore gross in just seven days, according to the latest update shared by Sikandar’s production house.

Sikandar-directed by A.R. Murugadoss is an action-thriller drama that features an interesting cast including Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi and others. The film revolves around a young passionate individual who fights against the corrupt system and stands up for the rights of citizens who are suffering from the unfair power structure.

Salman Khan’s recent film Sikandar was leaked online just a few hours before it was to be released in theaters. Talking about this, trade analyst Komal Nahta wrote, “The producer had the authorities pull the film down from 600 sites last night, but the harm had been done. The multiplication continued and is still continuing. Condemnable act which could cost the producer of the Salman-starrer dear.”

Ahead of its theatrical release, Sikandar was leaked across multiple illegal streaming platforms, which also included Telegram groups. Even though it had to face such setbacks, Sikandar was successful in holding its ground at the box office. However, it’s likely to go down as one of Salman Khan’s lower grossers.
