Salman Khan has been in full swing to promote his upcoming action thriller, Sikandar, which is also one of the most highly anticipated Hindi films to hit theaters. In the recent past, Salman Khan has faced challenges in delivering a blockbuster, but the excitement surrounding this film suggests a strong box office result. Whether it lives up to the hype will only be revealed after it’s release.
Often, we see Bollywood stars, especially the three Khans, getting dragged into controversies. Salman Khan is also not new to the drama, whether it is surrounding his work, interview statements or personal life. In an interaction, the superstar said how he doesn’t want to be into any controversy now.
In an interview with ANI, Salman was asked if there’s always some controversy happening with him and if the same can happen with Sikandar. To this, the superstar answered with folded hands, “Arre yaar, nahi chahiye bhai koi controversy se. Bohot saare controversy se guzar chuke hai hum. Nahi chahiye koi aur controversy. I don’t think ke controversies ke wajah se koi film hit hoti hai.”
“Humne toh dekha hi hai ke controversies mein ke Friday ki release next Tuesday hui hai. We don’t want (that). Abhi bhi hai time, bhai. Yeh 3-4 din nikal jaane toh. Picture ko release ho jaane do uske baad bhi koi controversy chahiye nahi,” added the Tiger 3 actor.
The superstar then shares Eid wishes to his fans and again jokes about the controversies. He said, “In fact, peechle ek movie ka bhi humne naam Loveyatri kar diya tha. Hume chahiye bhi nahi ab controversy. Bas hum bina controversy ke lifelong rahe aur kuch nhi. Humne hamara ek share, kaafi dekh chuke hai hum.”
Meanwhile, Sikandar is directed by AR Murugadoss and it also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar and Randeep Hooda. It will hit theatres on March 30, 2025.
