Days after Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital, he and wife Kareena Kapoor Khan made their first public appearance together. On Sunday morning, both Saif and Kareena were seen as they stepped out for the first time since the actor was brutally attacked at his Bandra residence. As evident from the video, the couple was surrounded by tight security. For the unversed, on January 16, an intruder had barged into their residence, and Saif in his attempt to save his family was repeatedly stabbed. After spending close to five days in the hospital, Saif was discharged and arrived home on January 21.
As evident from the video that was shot by paparazzo Viral Bhayani, Saif and Kareena are seen leaving their Bandra home. They were accompanied by cops for added security following the brutal knife attack on Saif. While Kareena walks ahead, Saif follows closely behind. Accompanied by security personnel, both sported a casual look. While Kareena was seen in a grey sweatshirt paired with black track pants, and a black baseball cap, Saif was seen in a navy-blue t-shirt apired with denim jeans.

Mumbai Police has arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, a Bangladeshi national in the attack case. He was arrested on January 19 on the basis of CCTV visuals that were gathered from the actor Saif Ali Khan’s apartment. The intruder had allegedly actor’s residence in an attempted burglary, and stabbed the actor six times during their confrontation. The actor was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, after which he underwent a five-hour-long surgery. Later, he was shifted to the ICU. A piece of the knife was also extracted out of his body. Mumbai Police had recently stated that they’d “conduct facial recognition of the Bangladeshi man” to confirm if he was the person who was seen in the CCTV footage from the building housing actor’s apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra.
Following the attack, security was beefed up at the actors’ residence. New CCTV cameras were also installed at the actor’s Bandra residence.
