You’re gonna hear him roar.
Katy Perry’s ex-husband, Russell Brand, took a swipe at her new romance with Justin Trudeau in a scathing rant on Thursday.
While at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Ariz., on Thursday, the actor blasted the former Canadian Prime Minister as a “globalist stooge.”
“Look, Katy Perry, I was married to her,” the comedian, 50, began. “I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom, [Mary Perry], is in the room to hear me say this, but look.
“I was OK with Orlando Bloom,” Brand continued, referencing the singer’s ex-fiancé. “But Justin Trudeau? C’mon, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy!”
Reps for Perry and Trudeau did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star’s relationship with Perry began in late 2009, with Brand getting down on one knee that New Year’s Eve.
The couple tied the knot in October 2010, only to split the following year.
Perry moved on with Bloom, 48, in 2016, and the on-again, off-again duo got engaged after three years together.
Their daughter, Daisy, was born in 2020.
Perry and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor called it quits over the summer and have since been co-parenting their 5-year-old.
The Grammy nominee was first spotted with Trudeau in July, two years after his divorce from wife Sophie Grégoire, with whom he shares two children.
At the time, the politician and Perry dined together and took a stroll in Montreal.
By October, the pair was packing on the PDA on the pop star’s yacht.
They have continued to make headlines, most recently going Instagram-official on a Tokyo trip.
Bloom has subtly reacted to the surprise relationship, “liking” a satirical Instagram post in August joking that he should date German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
