Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly who plays the role of Anu in Rajan Shahi’s popular show has been in the news after her stepdaughter Esha Verma accused her of being toxic. Recently, Esha Verma has responded to the actress’ recent comment on the controversy. She took to her social media and spoke about how influential people with fame and wealth disguise the truth. She even mentioned that these add bad examples.

Esha Verma reacts to Rupali Ganguly’s comment

On December 11, Esha Verma made her first post after Rupali Ganguly’s lawyer Sana Raees Khan sent a defamation notice to her. She wrote, ‘Fame, money and power, may shield the truth for a time, but they can never erase the harm caused’.

Esha wrote that character is not about what one says, but what one does. She also spoke about how actions define character and true integrity comes from accountability and change. She spoke about how karma and the universe balance the scales.

Esha also shared yet another post wherein she indirectly called out Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly. She wrote, ‘What examples are we setting… especially adults in a position of influence- for children and future generations when selfish actions harm others for personal gains?’ She also wrote that individuals who protect their identity will not take accountability. In her next post she wrote, ‘Yes, this is a response to recent comments’.

At a recent event, Rupali was asked if she was affected by the controversy surrounding her. The actress said that it does affect her. She also said that people who love her will continue loving her and sometimes, people go through bad phases. She also said that the truth always comes out.

Esha is the daughter of Ashwin Verma and his ex-wife Sapna Verma, who got married in 1997. The couple got separated in 2008. Later, Ashwin fell in love with Rupali and they got married in 2013. They are parents to son, Rudransh.
