New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani candidly dropped a major hint about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s forthcoming wedding while discussing security measures being taken for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

“I am fully confident in the work of the NYPD, as well as our state partners, in delivering that safe experience,” the politician told reporters at a press conference Monday.

“We are the biggest city in the country,” he continued. “We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one. We know it coincides with the Knicks’ [NBA] Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time — and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”

Mamdani, 34, emphasized the weekend’s big sporting events — the New York Knicks’ win against the San Antonio Spurs in Texas and the Brazil vs. Morocco World Cup game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey — as showing togetherness among New Yorkers.

“One of the beautiful things about Saturday was you walked around the city, you saw people in Brazil jerseys, you saw people in Morocco jerseys, you saw people in Knicks jerseys,” he gushed.

Mamdani added: “It feels like a city that is coming to life.”

The mayor was then asked if he was invited and going to Swift and Kelce’s highly anticipated nuptials.

“No and no,” he said.

“I wish them a lovely wedding. I’ll listen to ‘Only the Young’ at home on my own,” Mamdani added, referring to the Grammy winner’s 2020 track.

Several insiders told Page Six that Kelce and Swift, both 36, were hosting their wedding at Madison Square Garden over the July 3 weekend.

Guests who received an invite were reportedly required to sign an NDA before they received details about the ceremony, TMZ reported.

Additionally, penalties will be enforced if the agreement is broken.

Zoë Kravitz, Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez are some of the lucky ones who have reportedly snagged invites.

Kelce and Swift, meanwhile, got engaged in August 2025 when the Kansas City Chiefs star popped the question after two years of dating.

The couple have been enjoying their last few weeks as an engaged couple with several date nights around NYC, including at the Broadway production of “Oh, Mary!” this past weekend.
