Daaku Maharaaj has witnessed a significant slowdown at the box office after the holiday period. The Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer grossed Rs. 19 crore in its second week, but its collections dropped drastically to low levels. The total gross reportedly stands at Rs. 90 crore approx at the Indian box office, and the film is likely to conclude its run below Rs. 95 crore.

Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani starrer Azaad which was released on January 17, 2025, also stars Diana Penty and Piyush Mishra in pivotal roles. The film is set in 1920 and has managed to grab attention with its storyline. The film remains under the Rs 10-crore mark and as per Sacnilk’s early estimates Azaad collected only Rs 42 lakh on Thursday (January 23). The total collection is Rs 6.77 crore.

Azaad is set in the pre-Independence era and is the story about Govind (Aaman Devgn) who belongs to an underprivileged family working for the zamindars. He gets punished for accidentally riding the horse of the zamindar he plans to seek revenge from Janki (Rasha Thadani), the daughter of Rai Bahadur (Piyush Mishra). Azaad marks the debut of Aaman and Rasha. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force has been released on January 24.

Talking about Daaku Maharaaj, it looked likely to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark in the Telugu states. The film has grossed another Rs. 18 crore overseas and has Rs. 108 crore worldwide gross.
