Their love saga is among the most controversial ones as they also had a child out of wedlock.

This South actress has won two National Awards. She began her acting career at the age of five. She was the sole breadwinner after her father left the family. Later on, she became a successful actress in South and Bollywood. But her personal life always grabbed attention.

The actress is Sarika. Her connection with superstar Kamal Haasan is known to all. It was on the sets of the movie Raaj Tilak that they met each other in 1984. Kamal Haasan fell head-over-heels in love with Sarika. However, he was a married man. He was married to Vaani Ganpathy. Reportedly, they were having trouble in their paradise that led to their separation. Vaani and Kamal Haasan got divorced in 1988 after ten years of being married.

Sarika received a lot of flak for being in a relationship with a married man and was also called “other woman”. Kamal Haasan and Sarika allegedly even started living together, as reported by BollywoodShaadis.com. In 1986, Sarika gave birth to Shruti Haasan. But Kamal Haasan and Sarika tied the knot only in the year 1988. Post marriage, they had their second daughter Akshara.

However, later in 2002, Sarika and Kamal Haasan filed for a divorce. In 2004, their divorce got finalised. Sarika now stays in Mumbai. Daughter Shruti Haasan juggles between Mumbai and Chennai for work. Akshara Haasan stays in Chennai with father Kamal Haasan.

In recent times, Sarika was seen in the movie Uunchai. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and others.
