There are millions of people who aspire to be actors. But only a few manage to make it big. Some become an instant hit while others showcase a gradual progress. Here’s a story of an actress who became an instant hit and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. However, she has gone missing from films over the past few years.

The actress is Rimi Sen. She marked her Bollywood debut with movie Hungama that starred Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Aftab Shivdasani and others. Shakti Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav and many more were also a part of the comedy drama. Her career saw a good growth as she became a part of big budget films like Bagban, Dhoom, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri and more. She was also a part of Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. She played the role of Niraali in the film. She started her Bollywood journey in 2003 and suddenly, she put a halt to it in 2011. Her last film as an actor was Shagird.

Later in 2015, Rimi Sen was one of the contestants in Bigg Boss 9. That’s when she got a warning from Salman Khan regarding her career. She had said that she is unwilling to perform the tasks and do the hard work. To this, Salman Khan had warned her that she should get her attitude in check. He reportedly told her to take her career seriously and change her attitude, otherwise, she will struggle to find work. Rimi made it clear then that she did not want to work.

Rimi Sen, in one of the interviews, had spoken about her decision to quit the film industry. To Etimes, she said, “I had lost interest in the film industry. Offers had got repetitive; I was getting roles in only comedy films. I had started my career in the top bracket, so I couldn’t go further up nor I could afford to go lower.” She once also said that she is solely to be blamed about the way her career progressed.
