Indian Idol is India’s most loved singing reality show. It has a huge fan following and it is running since 2004. The 15th season of Indian Idol ended yesterday (April 6). It was a hit season and we saw many amazing moments in the show. Manasi Ghosh won Indian Idol 15. She walked home with a cash prize worth Rs 15 lakh and a brand new car. Sneha Shankar, Subhajit Chakraborty, Chaitanya Devadhe (Mauli), Priyangshu Dutta, and Anirudh Suswaram were also in the finals. Subhajit is the first runner-up while Sneha is the second runner-up of the show.
Manasi Ghosh wins Indian Idol 15
Manasi Ghosh has now opened up about what went through her mind when the winner was announced. She spoke to BollywoodLife and said, “To be honest, I was completely blank. I couldn’t feel anything around me. It was complete silence. Everyone was cheering but for me there was silence in my head. But soon, I realised that I won. I am very grateful, thankful and happy.”
She further said that everyone was her biggest competition in the show as everyone was really good. Many times, it is being said that reality shows are scripted. Earlier, a lot was being said about Indian Idol being scripted and the winners are pre-decided.
Is Indian Idol scripted?
During season 12, we saw singer Amit Kumar had accused the show of being scripted. Now, Manasi was asked if the show is scripted and things are already decided. She said, “I would like to say that the show is not scripted. Nothing is pre-decided. One has to sing and the audience give their votes and only then you win.”
She further added that she is going to miss the set, judges and her co-contestants. For Manasi, every moment spent on the show has been the best memory. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Badshah were the judges while Aditya Narayan hosted Indian Idol season 15. For the grand finale, we saw special guests like Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Bhushan Kumar and Mika Singh.
