Raj Kapoor‘s 100th birth anniversary is going to be a big celebration. Recently, we saw the entire Kapoor Khandan including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, Rima Jain, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Anissa Malhotra, Nitasha Nanda, Manoj Jain and Nikhil Nanda went to meet PM Narendra Modi in Delhi. They went to invite him for the celebration of legendary Raj Kapoor’s 100th anniversary. A nationwide screening of some of his most iconic films will happen to celebrate this special occasion. Now, a video has been released by the PM’s office.
PM Modi’s meeting with the Kapoors
In the video, we see the Kapoors talking to the Prime Minister about the celebration. Ranbir Kapoor was seen telling him how the entire Kapoor family have been having conversation on their Whatsapp group chat about how will they invite the PM and what they will speak. We also saw PM Modi telling them that he is also their family. Ranbir also spoke to the PM about him getting free taxi rides because he is Raj Kapoor’s grandson.
PM Narendra Modi was seen praising the contribution of Raj Kapoor while the entire family was listening proudly.

Alia Bhatt also shared some pictures from their meeting with PM. She shared a picture where they all are seen seated in a private bus together. This reminded everyone of Hum Saath Saath Hai movie scene where they go for a picnic in a bus. They all looked happy travelling together.
The RK film festival will have Raj Kapoor’s most celebrated works, spanning almost four decades. They will play 10 of his biggest films including Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973) and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985).
