K-pop girl group Izna are set to make their Singapore debut in two months, and they seem to have their wish list all planned out – from tracking down pork floss buns to getting their first taste of chilli crab.
The six-member group comprising Mai, Jeemin, Koko, Sarang, Jungeun and Saebi, was formed through the Mnet survival competition I-Land 2: N/a in 2024.
In an interview with AsiaOne, the members shared what they’re looking forward to the most in Singapore, as well as what fans can expect from the upcoming tour.
Although none of them have visited Singapore before, one of the first things on 19-year-old Jungeun’s agenda is to hunt down a familiar local snack: Pork floss buns.
“I tried one for the first time when I was young, and it became my all-time favourite bread,” she said, adding that she hasn’t had one since then and ” definitely wants to go get one as soon as we arrive”.
“I still remember how delicious it was – the fluffy, savoury pork floss on top, the soft and chewy texture of the bread, and even the sauce inside.”
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Jeemin has her sights set on chilli crab and kaya toast.
She said: “Chilli crab looks so, so good and I love crab, so I definitely want to try it when I go to Singapore!
“I’ve also only had kaya toast in South Korea, so I’m really curious what it tastes like in Singapore and absolutely want to try it there!”
Mai, who turns 22 in October, also shared that she’s curious what foods Singapore is known for and what other delicacies there are.
Aside from food, the members also have some tourist spots in mind.
Saebi, 18, said she would love to “make some special memories” with Naya (fandom name) in Singapore.
“I want to take photos or film a challenge with the members at Marina Bay Sands, and I think it would be nice if Naya could snapshot those moments in the same place too, so we can share those memories of Singapore together,” she said.
Izna is set to take the stage at Capitol Theatre on Nov 8 for their Who Dat Girl? concert tour.
Saebi teased that the group is planning to reveal new sides of themselves that they haven’t been able to show before. “As the tour goes on, you’ll get to see Izna grow even more while becoming more relaxed and enjoying the stage more.”
Koko, 20, also reflected on how the members have been developing their performance skills, sharing that she has become more stable when singing live, while each member is finding their own style on stage.
In preparation for their performances, she has also been doing ab exercises and some light workouts, which she said helps her “perform with more power”.
On the other hand, 19-year-old Sarang has a quieter approach and said she tends to not talk too much before a show to keep her energy level from getting too high or too low and mentally prepares herself instead.
As this is the group’s first concert tour, Mai shared that she’s happy to finally meet Naya in Singapore and is looking forward to an amazing time and making unforgettable memories.
Koko, who is often surprised by the vibes from international fans, said: “They have so much energy and always give us such great reactions that I think I’m surprised every time we perform!”
She added that, in those moments, she also gets really excited and “feels like I’m giving 150 per cent and having the best time on stage”.
Jeemin also highlighted the importance of communicating and connecting with fans in their local languages.
“When we perform overseas and try to communicate in the local language, seeing how much the fans enjoy it has made me realise how important it is to express our feelings directly in their language, even if it’s just a few words,” she said.

When being Izna really sank in
After the survival competition, Mai shared that they became much closer later through lots of conversations, practising together and living in the same dorm.
She added: “As those moments stacked up, we came to understand each other better and I feel like our teamwork naturally became much stronger as well.”
Jungeun recalled a poignant moment during the 2025 MAMA Awards in Hong Kong, which took place on Nov 28 and 29 last year.
She said: “During the intro, when the line ‘That’s me’ from our debut song Izna played, and when our group name appeared on the LED screen, that was the moment when it really sank in that we had become Izna!”
When asked which song from their discography they resonate with the most, Sarang chose Infinity (2026), which is also a song dedicated to their fans.
She explained: “I took part in writing the lyrics myself, putting into them the things I had always wanted to say to Naya.”
As the group approach its second anniversary, the members are looking towards their next milestone: Reaching No. 1 on a music chart.
Jeemin revealed that it is a goal the members always talk about: “I think it would feel so surreal and make me so happy to look at the chart and see an Izna song at No. 1.”
