Jessica Alba has confirmed her split from Cash Warren after nearly 17 years of marriage.

One week after reports surfaced that the two had separated and were headed for divorce, the actress took to social media Thursday to confirm the news.

“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” she began her Instagram post.

“I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.

“We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be a family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”

Warren, for his part, remained quiet on social media about the split.

On Jan. 8, TMZ reported that the pair had recently separated, with a source telling People that Alba found it “hard to keep the spark” with Warren.

“No matter what’s going on right now, it seems they will remain close,” the insider added. “If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hateful drama. They still look happy together.”

Although Alba cites 20 years of marriage in her statement, the two tied the knot in May 2008. During their union, they welcomed daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, as well as son Hayes, 7.

Their split came less than a month after they spent the holidays together, starting with Thanksgiving in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The “Honey” actress, 43, also commemorated their Christmas on social media before they went on to celebrate Hayes’ 7th birthday last week.

However, Alba had seemingly ditched her wedding ring just before Thanksgiving.

Years before their split, both the actress and the film producer had seemingly hinted at some trouble in paradise.

In 2021, the “Good Luck Chuck” actress told Katherine Schwarzenegger in an interview, “It’s all rosy for two and a half years. But then after that, you become roommates.”

“You’re just going through the motions,” she added. “You have the responsibilities. It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes, right?”

She also admitted to taking her relationship for granted, saying, “We have, like, obviously the friendship, the comfort of, like, ‘you’re not going anywhere,’ and so sometimes you don’t treat those people the best, right?”

“You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings,” Alba continued. “So that is something that I think is a constant one to work on.”

However, she said they worked through their problems by “confronting issues” and “being able to communicate when [they’re] unhappy.”

As for Warren, 46, he told Us Weekly in 2024 that their marriage was “hard work” but that they “roll up our sleeves and we do it.”
