Jennifer Hawkins and her husband Jake Wall have settled on the sale of their controversial Northern Beaches mega mansion.
Documents show that shelf company – Rayner Property Holdings Pty Ltd – paid an eye-watering $30 million to the couple, realestate.com.au reported this week.
While the price tag set records for the suburb, it would possibly come as a disappointment to the couple, with real estate pundits previously tipping that the impressive home could sell for as much as $45 million.
The publication reported that the property was officially exchanged back in April 2024, and the deal was finalised this month.
While Rayner Property Holdings paid the $30 million, the buyer’s identity remains a mystery.
The couple had originally intended to live in the idyllic oceanfront mansion, however, they granted a put and call option, which was lodged by the company in 2021.

A put and call option is a legal contract in real estate that grants a buyer the right to purchase property (call) and a seller the right to force a sale (put) at a future date.
Despite walking away with $15 million less than they may have hoped for, Jennifer and Jake’s sale set a suburb record.
The $30 million price tag topped a $14.3 million sale in 2023, for a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home, the publication reported.
Situated in the A-list coastal getaway of Whale Beach, 41 km from the CBD, work on Jennifer and Jake’s sprawling clifftop property began five years ago.
Photos published by Daily Mail in March reveal that the couple had finished building large sections of the main residence.
Based on aerial photos of the site, the completed work includes a manicured garden, pool deck and a basketball half-court.
There is also an infinity pool installed on the edge of the property, which features an amazing outlook over the Central Coast.
Glass walls have been installed on the four-level home on the double block, and the roofing appears to be sealed.

The expansive property also boasts an outdoor bar, a wine room and a dedicated health spa.
It also features a games room, bowling alley and home office.
The photos also showed that further work on the site was underway on a terraced section adjacent to the main dwelling.
Real estate insiders estimated that the massive pad would be worth an eye-watering $45 million on completion, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Jake Wall’s company, J Group Projects, is behind the project.
Although agents say Jake had been ‘respectful’ of neighbours during construction, there were multiple complaints from locals about disruption and blocked driveways.
The Whale Beach neighbourhood is a highly sought-after area in one of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs, with almost half the homes boasting sweeping ocean views.
Since demolition on the site began in 2021, several neighbouring properties have changed hands, though it’s unclear if the sales are connected to the ongoing construction.

Images and reports showed utes and trucks frequently blocking the narrow street, making off-road parking difficult.
Some owners claimed their driveways were obstructed for hours during construction.
In 2024, it was reported that Whale Beach locals were furious with the development as the ‘constant stream of trucks’ continued to block the narrow street and park for ‘hours on end’.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, residents in the surrounding homes were reeling, and one neighbour had his driveway blocked ‘on several occasions’ for hours.
Meanwhile, another local claimed their front lawn had been damaged by cement mixers.
Additionally, noise from the renovations was said to be a constant disruption to what was once the peaceful suburb’s quietest corner.
Jennifer and Jake purchased the double block for $6.95 million in 2020 from Museum of Contemporary Art chair Lorraine Tarabay.
It was once owned by iconic Australian opera singer Dame Joan Sutherland.
