James Packer has shared how he feels ‘lucky’ to lead the life he has.

The billionaire businessman told Rampart News in a recent interview that he is receiving professional care for his mental health issues.

‘I haven’t had a drink for two years. I’m working with a good psychologist and a good psychiatrist,’ the 58-year-old said, while explaining he is in a ‘good place’.

Packer also revealed that he is still close to his ex-wives, Erica Packer and Jodhi Meares, and leans on them for support.

‘I think I’m one of the luckiest people in the world. I’ve got three amazing kids. I’ve got two amazing ex-wives,’ he continued.

‘You know, Erica is my best friend. She’s a fantastic mum. And I’ve got three teenage kids now, 17, 15 and 13. They live in London. I’m so proud of all three of them.

Erica, who is the ex-wife of billionaire James Packer, currently resides in London after relocating with her three children to be near her sister.

The model co-parents children Indigo, Jackson and Emmanuelle with ex-husband James.

Erica married former husband James in 2007 and they later split in 2013, but are on good terms as they co-parent their three children.

She reportedly received a $100 million divorce payment, and purchased a family home in Los Angeles shortly after the break-up.

Erica split from celebrity chef Shannon Bennett after 18 months together in June, following a long-distance romance.

Between them, the lovebirds share nine children, with Shannon sharing Phoenix, Hendrix, Xascha, Xanthe, Xahlia and Margaux with ex-partner Madeleine West.

Meanwhile, fashion designer Jodhi famously married Packer in 1999 before splitting from him in 2002.

The wide-ranging interview also touched on Packer’s battle with substance abuse, revealing he has been sober for two years.

He spoke about a 2016 incident when outgoing Seven West Media chairman Kerry Stokes found him in Aspen in a ‘very bad way’.

Stokes temporarily took control of Consolidated Press Holdings to prevent a financial collapse and stopped Packer’s wedding to US pop star Mariah Carey.

‘I was under a lot of pressure in business, so I had a lot of debt, I had a lot of obligations, I was under a lot of pressure, and I was drinking way too much,’ Packer recalled.

‘I was in a bad place.’
